If you are clicking pictures with a phone and want some tips for phone photography then you are at the right place because in this blog i am giving you tips for smartphone photography whether it is iPhone or Android photography.
Clicking pictures with a smartphone is easy because you can carry it anywhere with you. And if you find any amazing scenery you can click the picture.
Tips for Mobile photography
1. Clean The Lens
Always clean your phone before you start clicking pictures because your mobile phone spends a lot of time in your hands, as well as in your pocket and this results in your camera’s lens getting covered by dirt, dust, and fingerprints.
As we all know that dirty lens will leave smudges, blurs, or dust spots on our photos. So if you want clear and sharp photos then clean your phone’s lenses.
Clean lens makes a big difference to the clarity of your photos. So get into the habit of cleaning the lenses on your phone.
2. Set The Focus
If you want your subject to always be in sharp focus then you need to set focus manually because the camera’s autofocus doesn’t always focus where you want it to.
Now one question will arise in your mind: how do you set phone camera focus?
It is very easy to set focus on your subject, simply tap on the screen where you want to set focus and just press the shutter button to take your photo.
Area where you want to focus will be in focus and anything in front of or behind the focus point may appear out of focus.
So it's very simple to set focus and get a beautiful and sharp focus image.
3. Adjust Exposure
You must have to adjust your exposure before you start clicking photos because if you don't adjust exposure then your image will get underexposed or over exposed and it is very hard to correct the exposure in editing.
For adjusting exposure in a phone you have to click to focus on the subject and just swipe up or down to increase or decrease the exposure.
4. Use HDR mode
When you are taking photos of high-contrast scenes (a high-contrast scene has both dark and bright areas) the highlights will be correctly exposed but the shadows will appear too dark. Or the shadows will be correctly exposed but the highlights will appear too bright.
So you can't get the perfect detailed pictures as you want to click.
Don't worry about this type of situation you can capture the details of both areas by using HDR mode. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. And it allows you to capture detail in both the shadows and the highlights.
5. Use Burst Mode For Incredible freeze action Shots
If you want to click some really amazing freeze action shots then you must have to use Burst Mode for clicking images.
In burst mode you can click many pictures in just 2-3 second so you can get one perfect image that you want.
6. Use different types of lenses
If you want to improve your image quality or want to click macro photography, wide angle, etc.
Many smartphones have inbuilt Ultra Wide Lens, Wide Lens, Telephoto Lens but this all have their limit. Even some are not real and this inbuilt Lens my rescue quality of image.
So my suggestion is that you buy lenses for your phone to improve your image quality.
7. Keep your camera stable
This is the most important thing in photography whether you are clicking through a camera or mobile phone. You need to stabilize your camera or mobile phone and if you are not able to do this then it will result in blurry photos.
In bright light conditions some slight camera movement is usually not a problem. But in low light conditions this movement will be a problem and this is the reason why you often get blurry photos when shooting in low light or at night.
To avoid this you need to stabilize your phone. You have to hold your camera properly with both hands.
If you don't have any budget problem then you can buy a tripod for your phone which will help you a lot.
8. Experiment With Different Perspectives
You can get more interesting photos by shooting from a different perspective. So always try to shoot from an alternative point of view when you are clicking pictures.
For changing your perspective you can do following things:-
1. You can go more closer to your subject.
2. Change your angles by shooting from low angle or high angle.
By doing this all you can get a completely different view of your subject.
9. Simplify Your Compositions
You must have to simplify your composition because a simple image is more eye-catching.
For simplify your composition you need to take care of following:-
1. Try to focus on the subject only.
2. Always check the background of your subject because sometimes viewers get attracted by background. So always check your background.
