Long exposure photography
In my previous blog creative photography ideas, I have suggested you to do long exposure photography, and today in this blog I am going to explain to you about long exposure photography and I am also going to give some tips for long exposure Photography. If you don't have digital camera then don't worry because many smartphone support long exposure photography.
What is long exposure photography?
Long exposure photography is best when you want to show motion blur. when you are clicking photos with a shutter speed of somewhere between 1/60 of a second and 1/4000 of a second. These kinds of shutter speeds come under most normal situations, from normal outdoor shooting to indoor shooting.
when we are using a much longer shutter speed for photography then it is called as 'long exposure photography', and it is used by photographers with a specific technique to achieve a certain effect. There is no defined shutter speed at which you can define that you are shooting as long exposure photography.
There are many ways we can use this technique to achieve different results. There is no limit to where you can use a long exposure photography. Any type of photography can incorporate a long exposure. For example star trail, landscape photography, steel wool photography, clouds, light trails, light painting, moving elements, etc.

How to do long exposure photography during day time?
If you want to achieve long exposures during the daytime then it becomes necessary to use neutral density nd filter on a lens. Because this filter cuts down the light entering in the lens. With this filter less light is entering in the lens, so the shutter speed needs to be much longer to achieve the same exposure. Neutral density filters can allow you to shoot exposures of several minutes long even in the daytime situations, because it cuts down the light entering the lens.
Long exposure photography tips and guide
1. Use a tripod
You have to use a tripod for long exposure photography because a little bit of movement can make your image blur. If you don't have a tripod then you need to buy a tripod.

If you are using autofocus mode then you have to try to use manual focus because by using manual focus you can get more perfect image.
3. Set the aperture
For setting the aperture turn your camera to Manual mode or Aperture Priority mode. Then set the aperture which is perfect for the scene

When you are shooting at night you must have to check the exposure before you start clicking the pictures. You can take help of histogram for setting your image exposure.

6. Use Bulb mode
If you want to avoid the thirty-second limit of the camera then set your camera on bulb mode. It will help you to take shoot as much long you want.
7. Set the time
you must have to set time to leave the shutter open. You have to set time as per your requirement means how much time you want to shutter open.
8. Test shots
Always take test shots before your final long exposure shot. If there is a any problem then again you have to correct exposure, set the exposure time, shutter release, filter holder, etc. Then check the live view and take your long exposure shot.
9. Check the image
Once you’ve taken the shot with the shutter speed that you have decided, check the image. If you are not satisfied with the results then click again. You need to practice to get perfect results in your first attempt.
